01 Nov Back at the Bridge
This week in drama we were back at the Bridge after being at the Community Centre last week.
We started off in the morning by telling Freewheelers’ members Emma and Luke H about our trip on Friday to the Olympic Park in London we also showed them the brochure we were given on the day. It was brought in by Vince. Next Viv asked as all do we want to go next Tuesday to see Reasons to be Cheerful about the life of former punk rocker Ian Dury most of the members said yes they would like to go. After that Brandon said we need extra rehearsals for Messages of Love and Hate and gave us the dates and venues which are as follows Friday November 12th at the Nomad Theatre in East Horsley 9.30am to 5pm the scenes on this day will be Wife daughter, mother and lover. Harry’s monologue and prime minister’s monologue. Monday November 15th again at the Nomad 9.30am to 5pm. Scene Ben and Carols entry phone scene, Friday November 19th still at the Nomad scenes Harry the soldier, Boy with mobile phone camera, dying soldier scene and finally Monday November 15th at Leatherhead Theatre 10am to 6pm all the way through the play. Going back to Reasons to be Cheerful I said I would like to go as my friend John Kelly is in the cast. We finished the morning with a Warm up.
After lunch we rehearsed the scene from Messages of Love and Hate with Ben trying to break into Carols flat by talking though the entry phone. Lastly we made our way through the whole of Messages of Love and Hate including Harry the soldiers one in which Susan said I did really well in without my script. we finished with the Ghosts bursting through the latex screen into the outside world and looking around when they do so.
