19 Sep Planes, trains and audio recording
In today’s drama we had two visitors Marina Szabo from the Jigsaw School in Dunfold, and new volunteer and photographer Eddie Fulleylove
We started in the morning with the scene from Messages of Love and Hate in which the cast move around the room and then freeze in various positions. I am not normally in this as Harry the soldier but I took Anthony O Sullivan’s place who was not there today. Next some of the group including myself went into a back room at the Bridge to have ourselves recorded saying different speeches from the play. The others were Sam. Rachel, Jamie, Vince, and Brandon plus Karen who recorded our voices it worked like this one of us said the words and then the rest repeated them by whispering them afterwards. This went well apart from distracting noises like trains, planes and people chatting. It was until lunch. During the break Jamie and I with the help of volunteer Jenny wrote a letter to Kate Middleton asking her to be our patron.
In the afternoon the rest of the cast did one of the scenes I am not in, I went through Harry the soldiers scene with volunteer Jenny she said I did quite well without any script. We then joined the rest for the scene in which the Ghosts burst through a latex screen into the outside world followed by the rest of the cast as the characters. It think this went pretty well as did the rest of the day I guess the rest of the group agree.
