10 Jul Making arrangements for the summer
Today in drama we had no visitors, and Anthony Ogle was not there. We started with Viv reminding us that Anthony Ogle will not be coming back in September. She suggested some sort of farewell party; we all agreed – Eddie our photographer may make a cake for this for next week. Next Brandon told us we may not be able to film Steep Rain at Guildford Spectrum on July 18th and 19th, as there may not be enough money, as we need some professional people for this project. We are waiting on a councillor’s decision on this; Viv said she is awaiting a phone call about the funding, and that it is not good enough, as we need to know today so various members can make their arrangements.
Then Brandon told us of some events we are doing for the next few months, the first one being the Film and Dance Evening at Epsom college on this Thursday, July 12th, then the filming at the Spectrum Centre on July 18th and 19th, depending on the money; next on July 20th some of the group will be performing at Stoke Park in Guildford, the shows that will be performed are Trust, Colours, and Anna and Vince dancing to Luke T singing his song from Your Call. Then Play in a Week the week of Monday July 23rd – Friday July 27th with performances on the following weekend Sat July 28th in the evening and Sunday July 29th in the afternoon. The Trust dance will also be done on July 28th in Leatherhead Town Centre. On August 29th some members will be going to Trafalgar Square to show some films for the Opening of the Paralympic Games. Lastly, the first week in September we will be rehearsing Your Call – part of the week at the Bridge Youth Club, the rest at Leatherhead Theatre.
Then Terry said the new date for her birthday is August 24th and we are all invited. Then was lunch break.
In the afternoon we just rehearsed Your Call. In conclusion, I really liked today’s session and I think the rest did as well.
