Freewheelers at The National Theatre

Freewheelers at The National Theatre

On Saturday I went to the National Theatre in London with fellow Freewheelers Sam K. Stephen, Anna, Vince, Peter and Sonas. Our driver was Stuart – partner of Cambridge Road staff member Gill. We went in the Hemmet vehicle. Once we arrived we met fellow members including Terry, Jamie, Anthony O Sullivan and Luke T plus Andrea and her new husband Miles, Susan, Viv and her husband Bob, Brandon and Gillian. My mother also came to watch.

We watched two Freewheelers films on a continuous loop system – Steep Rain and Trust (Anthony and Sonas danced to the first two performances of this). I think the audience enjoyed it as they said so. Jamie also said he had been involved in the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympics singing the Ian Dury song Spacticus Audicticus along with my former school friend John Kelly.

In conclusion I really enjoyed this event and think everyone else did as well.
