Dear All
Today was the first week back at the Bridge after last weeks’ intensive Your Call rehearsals both at the Bridge Youth Club and Leatherhead Leisure Centre. A boy called Luke came with his mum to see if he may like to join us. Those not there were Anna, Peter, Luke T and Jamie.
We started with Brandon talking about special technology being used for the the opening scene of Your Call; audience members’ mobile phones using a special number given to the audience at the beginning of the show – it will also be used part way through the performance. Then Brandon said some pyrotechnics will be used for Luke H’s scene as a stunt driver.
Soufyan told us he may not be able to come to the session on Sept 24th, as he has an appointment which can not be changed; he was asked could he come for some of that day? Brandon then informed us about the Farnham Maltings performance on the 25th. Soufyan asked when Viv will be back from her holiday, and about transport for Farnham.
We finished the morning with a full run through of Your Call from the beginning to the end then we had lunch.
During the break, Sarah Thomas from the Nomad Theatre came for a visit.
In the afternoon we started with Brandon rehearsing Terry and Soufyan’s texting scene, whilst Susan went through the lines with the rest of us. She said she was pleased with us. We then met together again, and went through Luke T’s song You’re Gonna Fly; during this his mum Liz and brother came. We finished with another full rehearsal of Your Call from the start to the end.
In conclusion, I enjoyed it today and I hope the rest did as well.
