12 Nov Improving the sessions and taking drama workshops
Today in drama we had no visitors, and those not there were Wendy, Vince and Anthony O’Sullivan.
We started with Brandon saying that Pip and Liz will come on Mondays either together or alternately from now on, and Viv will not be coming so often.
Then Viv said each of us will be asked about what we might like to do in the future: this will be marked using numbers from 1-10 around a star. If you have never done something before it will be marked a one, and if you have done it loads of times it will be a ten, and between will be all the middle numbers. This new progress record is called ‘Outcome Stars’.
Then Brandon said that as Peter has left The Freewheelers, and was a member of the committee, we will need someone to replace him. Viv, Jamie and Brandon explained what is involved in this.
Next Brandon said that Steep Rain productions cost a lot of money, and we need to raise the money. This will be done with Drama Workshops based around Steep Rain, Trust, and other productions.
We then read through Terri’s script based on miscommunications: Volume / Valium and Sad News from a Cheerful Lady, followed by a brain storming session.
During the break we sang some Abba songs. Also some of the group were taken away by Viv, for what I mentioned earlier.
In the afternoon we had Disability Drama Workshops, based on Trust, and taken by Andrea, Anna and Sonas. They were interesting and enjoyable, and everyone liked them.
I was interviewed by Viv during this. My points included: taking a series part in a show, telling new people about the group, and giving others a chance to give answers to questions when I know them myself. I will raise a finger if I know the answer, and then will answer if no one else can do so. There were others, and I then went back to the drama workshops.
In conclusion I enjoyed today’s session and I hope the rest agree.
