11 Dec Mask Workshop
Today in Drama was a special session: the Trestle Theatre Company came for a Mask Workshop. The visitors were Emily, from the Trestle Theatre Company, and a lady who did some CRB checks (I am not sure of her name).
We started with some us having CRB checks. Then Brandon talked about what we might do after Your Call; this included an adaptation of Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens, and Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. Also developing Terri’s script on communication.
Then on to the Trestle Workshop, starting with Emily telling us about the group and what they do. Next, we did a drama workshop and some games. After that, we put the masks on, and pretended to be different people. This was interesting and enjoyable. Emily could only come in the morning, so we had lunch.
In the afternoon, a discussion on the morning’s session. Point we talked about included: how did we find it, did we enjoy it, and we discussed whether we may use masks in future productions.
Lastly, we tidied up the Freewheeler’s cupboard! Whilst doing so we listened to some Christmas music.
I really thought today’s session went well, and I think the rest would agree.
