13 May More rehearsing and Happy Birthday, Sam
Today in drama we had no visitors, and the only one not there was Viv, who was on holiday in the United States.
We started with Brandon saying he will be away in Connecticut in the United States at the end of the month. Then he said we will be rehearsing Steep Rain later today, and it will be filmed at Guildford Spectrum sometime in June, and also that we may look through Lord Upright and Grovling.
Then Brandon said that he saw a show in the Brighton Festival called Trench, done with puppets; he enjoyed it. Next, Susan showed us a brochure from the Cultural Olympiad signed by Jonathan Edwards, and I told everyone of when my mum and I went to Night of 1000 Stars at the Albert Hall on May 5th. Then Brandon said he saw Sinead O’Connor last week and liked it.
After that, we all ripped off lines we made with coloured tape for Steep Rain, as we will not need them any more; then watched the film of Steep Rain at Guildford Spectrum last summer.
Then was lunch. During the break we sang Sam Happy Birthday and gave out some cakes: chocolate and cheesecake. I had a bit of both.
In the afternoon we rehearsed Steep Rain with various changes and new cast members, taken by Andrea and Brandon; they said we did well.
In conclusion, I think it went well today and I hope the rest agree.
