25 May Around the World with PIAW
Today Anna Vere and I went to the Grange in Bookham for a Play in a Week (or PIAW) special meeting; also interested, but busy today, were Luke T, Sam K, Vince, and I think Sonas.
When we arrived, we met the others, including Anthony O’Sullivan and Brandon, plus people for the Grange itself, SeeAbility in Leatherhead, and other people from other places.
First was a warm up, then ‘getting to know each other’ games, followed by other games. Next, a drinks break, after which we read through the play we will be performing in July, at the Nomad Theatre, East Horsley, Surrey, from July 22- 28. It is Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne, adapted by Rachel Barnett. We went up to Page 19, then lunch break.
In the afternoon, we continued to page 28, then another drinks break, and continued again – this time to page 31.
We finished off with a warm down. As I said before, the actual week is July 22-28 at the Nomad Theatre, East Horsley.
In conclusion, I enjoyed it today and I hope that everyone else did as well.
