Rehearsing Lord Upright and Grovling

Rehearsing Lord Upright and Grovling

Dear All
Today in drama the visitor was Kim Bartlett, a possible new member; the only person not there was Viv, who was with my mum, meeting some people from Nimmax Films about the Freewheelers.
We started with Brandon introducing Kim to the group, then I said about Viv and my mum meeting with Nimmax Films this afternoon about money and performance venues.
Next, Brandon said that Chris Crane and himself were due to go to the Spectrum Leisure Centre in Guildford this week about the Steep Rain film, but he forgot to order the white floor we need to perform this piece. He also said we will rehearse Lord Upright and Grovling later today.
Then a warm up, then a Steep Rain rehearsal followed by watching a film on the same show which was done last year. Then was lunch.
In the afternoon, most of us rehearsed Lord Upright and Grovling, taken by Andrea and Brandon. The cast was: Lord Upright – Dan; Grovling – Stephen; Betty the maid voiced by Mathew James; Lady Upiington or Davinia – Anna; and her maid, Smithering – Sam.
It went very well. Susan took Soufyan, Jamie and Anthony O’Sullivan. Then we finished with a warm down.
I enjoyed today’s session and I think the rest did as well.
