So many things going on!

So many things going on!

Dear all,
today in drama we did quite a lot, so I may not enter everything, or items may be added later in the week.
We had no visitors, and those not there were Viv, Chris Crane and Sonas. Anna was not there in the morning, as she had an appointment.
We started with Brandon welcoming Pip the volunteer back from her holiday in Turkey. Then Brandon reminded us of the filming of Steep Rain on October 21 and 22nd at Guildford Spectrum. Next, Sam K said that Sonas is back in the United Kingdom, and is slowly getting better. He is at home at the moment and will be back at drama when he is fully recovered.
Then Brandon talked about our next productions: The Musicians, and other items to be decided. After that, Pip asked who would be coming with her to the Steep Rain filming. Then we all discussed the filming of the last few scenes of Upright and Grovling at Pip’s house on November 8th and 9th.
The next few items were about shows or events that members had seen recently, or are going to see soon; starting with Brandon seeing the play Another Country, at the Chichester Festival. He said it is about spying, with the main character being Guy Burgess.
Next, Dan said he saw a tribute to the band Queen on his cruise. Soufyan told us that he listened to a Beatles CD over the weekend. Then Jamie told us he is going for an audition to be an extra in Call The Midwife. Richard said he is in a play sometime soon. Terry mentioned that she had entered some paintings in a contest at Caterham over the weekend, and one of them won.
Then we did some warm up exercises. Then a Steep Rain rehearsal, followed by lunch. Anna arrived with her mum during the lunch break.
In the afternoon, we started with Nick telling us about the Comedy Club he goes to on Tuesday evenings in London, and what they do. One thing is the tutor gives them a subject and they have to talk for one minute on this. Next, some of the group had a go, with Nick giving them the topics. Next, some of group told jokes, including Terry, Matthew and myself; and Nigel told an amusing story.
We finished with a sketch set in an airport; this was my suggestion. It was very funny.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed today’s session, and I think the rest did too.
