Good news from Burma; and Cold and Wet rehearsals

Dear all
here is my latest news email. I may not write everything, as there was loads to write about this week!
Today in drama, the visitor was Tom Gray (musician), and everyone was there.  We started in the morning with Brandon saying that Pip and her friend Yvonne had started their Burma Trek, and already raised about £5000!

Tom then said he will be taking various members out of the session for songs to be included in the Cold and Wet show. Anna went to a Swimming Gala at Carshalton over the weekend, and won Gold and Bronze medals, and Richard is doing a sponsored run for Cancer UK  during the summer, and asked for our help with sponsoring; we said we would.

Then Tom thanked us for helping with Nick’s song for Cold and Wet. Next, a warm up. Then we split into three groups, to whisper, sing, and then shout, the words ‘cold and wet’. Followed by lunch time.
In the afternoon, we started with listening to a war recruitment song (to be involved in Cold and Wet); we then sang along to this.

Next, we watched some of the film, Oh, What A Lovely War!, as it will be useful in Cold and Wet. We finished off with some of the group doing some marching to be involved in Cold and Wet.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed it today and I hope the rest would agree.
