21 Apr The Freewheelers keep on trying!
Here is a review of drama today. First of all those of us from Cambridge Road and Hemmet House did not arrive at the Bridge Youth Club till 11.15 due to a broken tyre on the Hemmet vehicle! I phoned Susan to tell her this, so nobody minded.
We started with Brandon talking about a play by QEF (Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation) to celebrate the 18th anniversary. It will have robots as the main characters, and be rehearsed in the May Bank Holidays. It will feature three of the Freewheelers and will go round local schools. We then had lunch.
In the afternoon we filmed Terri’s poem, Keep On Trying. This was all afternoon, as we did it one at a time. It was about Terri wanting to be her own person and not conform to what society wants her to do. It was very good indeed. I played an authority figure in this and we were asked to dress up for the occasion.
All in all I thought it was a very good day and I hope the rest will agree.
