Watching and making theatre

Watching and making theatre

Dear All

In drama we had no visitors and the only one not there was Terri. We started by watching the promotional film for Cold and Wet, filmed at St John’s School, Leatherhead, in March. We then said what we thought of it.

Next, Brandon reminded us all that as next week is a Bank Holiday, only those involved in the QEF play will be needed. We then watched the Cold and Wet film again. After that Brandon told us we will be recording the songs from Cold and Wet on July 6th.

Sam told us she saw an amateur production of South Pacific in Bromley and enjoyed it. Andrea saw a circus show – I do not know where. She did not think much of it. Zena watched Anything Goes at the Nomad Theatre, East Horsley, last week, and liked it.

Jamie and others then told us all of their Magna Carta Opera at the Royal Albert Hall in London; they said it went really well and Prince Edward attended, and other groups performed in it.

I think we then continued rehearsing Cold and Wet from where we left off last week: the Madam Za Za scene. Followed by lunch time.

In the afternoon we finished off the Cold and Wet rehearsal with lots of changes. Brandon said we all did very well. We were all pleased.

In conclusion I think today went really well and I hope the rest will agree.
