Crackers! It’s an award!

Crackers! It’s an award!

Dear All

Here is the Drama email for this week. Hope you like it.

The only visitor was Vince (sound technician) for Destiny Betrayed. Everyone was there this week.

We started with Brandon telling us all that Terri won an award at The Leatherhead Drama Festival, at Leatherhead Theatre, for her version of A Cream Cracker Under The Settee, by Alan Bennet. We were all pleased about it.

Viv then said that Freewheeler volunteer Charlotte sang last week, and Viv thought she did well. I forgot to say that Brandon was also up for an award at the festival as director of Terri’s production, but did not win.

Richard said he is making a new play sometime soon. Brandon told us his son Josh is also up for an award.

I think we then rehearsed Destiny Betrayed, from the beginning to the end, followed by lunch time.

In the afternoon we rehearsed various scenes from Destiny Betrayed – some several times to get them correct. We also practiced laughing and applauding at  different levels of volume – this was recorded to be used in the play.

Lastly Brandon said could we come earlier than normal and bring our costumes for Destiny Betrayed. They will be left at The Bridge Youth Club and then taken to Eastbourne for the performance of the play at the beginning of June.

In conclusion I think today went well and I hope the rest will agree.
