Puppeteering at The Bridge

Puppeteering at The Bridge

Dear All,

Here this week’s drama blog. Hope you all like it.

The two visitors were Anita Sullivan (playwright) and Nick Barnes (puppeteer). Those not there were Richard Bridger and Luke Tye.

We started with Pip saying she went to the Freewheelers’ Fundraising Event last Thursday in Surbiton. Some other Freewheelers were there and  £8,000 were raised at it.

Brandon then welcomed Anita Sullivan and Nick Barnes. Nick then showed some of his puppets.  We then started his workshop in groups – I was with  Rachel Mold, Richard Watson and Soufyan. We were helped by Chris Crane. We then performed to each other. Next was lunch.

In the afternoon we started with a warm up, with puppets, then more group work. This time I was with Ems, Soufyan, Mathew James and Stephen – and we were helped by Chris Crane and Brandon.
We then performed those sketches to each other. Brandon said we did well. There is no session next week as it is a Bank Holiday, so Anita Sullivan will be back in two weeks, and Nick Barnes in four.
In conclusion I think the session went well this week, and I hope all those who came would think so too.
