Gourmet Night at The Bridge

Gourmet Night at The Bridge

Dear All

Here is my usual drama blog. Hope you all like it.  We had no visitors and those not there were Soufyan and Luke Tye.

We started by talking about Sunday night’s Britain’s Got Talent, won by Lost Voice Guy – a person with Asperger’s Syndrome. Brandon then welcomed us back after last week’s Bank Holiday Monday off.

Next we watched a film on starlings flying in formation – I think this will be used in our next production: Return to Our Senses.

Then we talked about farce and what it is, and then watched a Fawlty Towers episode called Gourmet  Night – it was very funny. Next we performed some part of this episode – set in the Hotel Restaurant, with Manuel and Basil Fawlty always getting two guest’s meals to the wrong people! We did this in groups; I was with Nick Russell, Richard Watson and Luke H for this; we were helped by Andrea. Then was lunch.

In the afternoon, we watched the Gourmet Night episode again, and then tried to perform the Restaurant Scene again. This was quite hard to do – we may try again next week?  Although both Anita Sullivan and Tom Grey are both due on that day – I forgot to say we did talk about their visit today.

I think the session went well this week and I hope all those who were there would think so too.
