Robbie the Puppet makes his presence felt

Robbie the Puppet makes his presence felt

Dear All
Here is this week’s drama blog. I may not include all of what we did but hopefully mention most items.
This week we had no visitors and the only one not there was Ems.
We started with Brandon showing everyone the able-bodied and disabled Candoco Dance Company on the Strictly Come Dancing Results Show on Sunday night; we all thought they were good.
Brandon then showed us the latest Robbie the Puppet prototype to be used in the scenes from Do Not Disturb on the operating table. Robbie ends up in a coma when he accidentally leaves the sign on his hotel door to ‘Please Make Up My Room’ (instead of ‘Do Not Disturb’). The people who come to the rooms to change the bedding and items in bathroom walk in on Robbie in the shower, and in shock Robbie falls over and ends up in a coma.
Next a warm up session including some movements that may be  used in our next production. Andrea then asked us to all pretend to have puppets on our arms; this will be in Do Not Disturb after the family scene. Next, some movements from our next production.

In the afternoon we rehearsed one of scenes from Do Not Disturb by patient Robbie’s bedside; the coma scenes I mentioned earlier, including Scene 4, Page 5.  Zena was the girlfriend of Robbie, Terri was Robbie’s mum, and myself his dad. This was emotional.
We then rehearsed the play from the start to Scene 3, Page 3, and then some of the final scene. Brandon then asked us all to be there for 10 o’clock in the morning next Monday as the following week some visitors are coming to watch the play.  We said we will do our best to so do.

In conclusion I think we did well today and I hope all those involved will think so too.
