21 Feb Do Not Disturb – still rehearsing

Here is this week’s drama blog for this week. Hope you all enjoy reading it?
The only visitor was Tom Gray (musician), and those not there were Richard Watson and Andrea.
We started with Brandon telling us we will be performing Do Not Disturb again at The Bridge Centre, Leatherhead, as when we did so at The Nomad Theatre, East Horsley at the end of January, the playwright (Anita Sullivan), musician (Tom Gray) and the puppeteer (Nick Barnes) couldn’t be there. The date for The Bridge Centre performance is March 4th. We also hope a person from The Arts Council (I think their name is Terry?) will be there.
Soufyan saw a performance of the television program Only Fools and Horses in London and liked it. Brandon went to see Icarus and other Greek stories at The Harlequin Theatre, Redhill – he said he enjoyed it.
I think we then had a full rehearsal of Do Not Disturb from start to finish. Followed by lunch time.
In the afternoon, we had another run through of the play from start to finish. Next we rehearsed the scenes from the production when all the family are by patient Robbie’s bedside, when he is in a coma.
In the morning rehearsal Poppy played Richard Watson’s character, Robbie, but she had to go home at lunch time. So then Zena took over in the afternoon; she also had to play the girlfriend at the same time, which we managed to do!
Brandon then said that Richard Watson should be back next week to rehearse Do Not Disturb again.
In conclusion I think today went well and hope the rest will agree? I forgot to say that Nick Barnes (puppeteer) cannot make the performance of Do Not Disturb on March 4th at The Bridge Centre as he is taking some of his puppets to Disneyland in the United States, to perform something.
