07 Jun Rehearsing and some very sad news.

Here is my review of what we did in drama today. Hope you all like it!
The only visitor was a lady called Sam, who came to observe what The Freewheelers do. Those not there were Soufyan and Steven.
We started with welcoming Sam. Nick Russell then told us it was his birthday. Poppy then said that one of The Freewheelers’ volunteers has recently moved house and there is a card for us to sign if we want to.
Brandon then told us some sad news – that Bill Pearson, founder of The Nomad Theatre, and the person who first thought of the idea of PIAW (Play in a Week) 22 years ago this summer has sadly died. We were all sad and wanted to sign a card for him; I don’t know if we will. I also suggested remembering him at The Evening with The Freewheelers at The Harlequin Theatre, Redhill, on June 26th. Or, alternatively, at the start of PIAW (Play in a Week) at The Nomad Theatre, East Horsley in July – or perhaps even both?
Next was a warm up session with Richard Watson. Then we rehearsed Do Not Disturb from the start to Scene 6, page 6. Then was lunch time, during which we sang Nick Russell Happy Birthday, which I think he liked?
In the afternoon, more rehearsals of Do Not Disturb, from Scene 6, page 6, to Scene 9. Next the one when we all come on carrying our own Puppet again which we had done in the morning’s rehearsals. Brandon said we did well.
I think we did well today and I hope everyone else who was there will think so too.
