| Fundraising on 11th June |
|
If you live near Ashtead or Guildford we would love to see you on the 11th June at one of two events where we’ll have a presence. We are taking part in the annual Ashtead Village Fair, and we also have a stand at a community event at Guildford Cathedral.
Ashtead Village Day is one of the largest local community events in the South East, and takes place at Barnett Wood Lane Recreation Ground, Lower Ashtead, from 12pm - 4pm.
Freewheelers will be presenting workshops for children using our remarkable marionettes, with the expert guidance of two professional puppeteers.
We'll also be selling helium balloons and showing off some stunning pictures of our latest drama, dance and media projects, and there will be lots of people to talk to about our work.
On the same day, Andrea is bravely climbing to the top of the tower of Guildford Cathedral, to launch herself down a special zip wire - all for the good of the Freewheelers.
You can pledge your sponsorship support for Andrea by clicking here (we are sorry but we don't currently have a justgiving or everyclick fundraising page... we are in the process of setting up a registered charity, and when this in place we'll be able to do so).
Meanwhile, inside the Cathedral we'll have another stand, with information about our work. |
