DAISY Day on 20th May

DAISY stands for Disability Arts in Surrey.  It is a very active and exciting new group representing the interests of all  the many and various (and amazing) disability arts groups in Surrey.

DAISY is having a Launch Day on Friday 20th May at Bourne Hall in Ewell.  There is an amazing line-up of talks and performances from  The Firestone Rock Band, Colebrook Day Centre, the Orpheus Centre, Lockwood Arts, StopGAP, Creative Response and, of course,The Freewheelers Theatre Company!  In addition there are talks from Jim Pinchen, Surrey Arts Contemporary Music Officer, and Graham Dowdall, Musician, about inclusive technology and music,  and from Andrew Skinner, Paralympian Volleyball Player.

Our contribution to the day is a short talk and the beautiful dance piece "Trust", choreographed by Andrea Green and danced by Anthony O'Sullivan and Sonas Musana to music by Thomas Gray. Behind the dancers will be shown film of many other performances in bluebell woods, by the sea, on various stages, and outside the Olympic Park!!  We are still determined to get inside......
