L&G Enables Seven Students to Attend Workshops

Freewheelers are delighted to announce that the employees of Legal and General in Kingswood have this week given us a most generous donation. This money was raised through the running of a Quiz Night and the operation of a Dress Down Day. The Company matched the money raised by its staff.

The sum will help Freerwheelers enormously with their core costs, but most particularly it will be used to ensure that seven students from the Ashwood Unit of Woodlands School in Leatherhead will be able to attend Freewheeler's Dance and Drama Sessions despite funding restraints that threatened to curtail these activities.

Assistant Head Teacher, Gill Lloyd, was delighted by this news. She feels that their involvement with us has given her 16-19 year olds much increased confidence, a real challenge, and an interest for the future, as well as a wider social scene. She will continue to seek funding help from parents and benefactors, many of whom will attend our Evening of Dance, Drama and Media on Wednesday 13th July at Epsom College.

Many many thanks to L & G!
