| What a Great Team! |
Over five days, either side of the Easter weekend, Play in a Week at The Leatherhead Theatre at Easter was a very enjoyable event, for us and, we believe, for all the participants. Encouraged and supported by three Freewheeler tutors, four Freewheeler mentors, and a large number of volunteer actors and backstage helpers, the young cast put together from scratch an absorbing play complete with song and dance. The project was funded by Surrey Short Breaks, who visited us during the week. We are most grateful for the funding, which proved its worth in spades as the young people, working in this lovely theatre, found new confidence and worked remarkably well together to create a lively, entertaining, and at times very moving, performance for a large audience of family and friends.
