While reporting on a murder at The Leatherhead Arts Theatre in 1968 a young journalist stumbles upon a gripping tale of eternal love, war, betrayal, murder and destiny.
Based on a real event, this devised story imaginatively discovers the reasons behind the murder and takes us on a journey from a peaceful beach in 1905 through the bloody trenches of the First World War and on into the future.
Destiny Betrayed was premiered and a work-in-progress in March 2015 at the Performing Arts Centre, St John’s School, Leatherhead. The show was originally titled ‘Cold and Wet’. Destiny Betrayed was toured throughout the South East accompanied by a series of inclusive pre-show workshops for local community groups.
The final show took place on the 9th November 2016 at the Leatherhead Arts Theatre.
